Ingredients

  • 1 cup ‏Pearl onions, peeled
  • 1 tbsp ‏Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ‏Black pepper
  • 500 grams ‏Chicken thighs
  • 100 ml ‏Pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 cup ‏Prunes, pitted
  • 1/4 cup ‏Apricots, dried
  • 10 sprigs ‏Cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp ‏Salt
  • 1 tbsp ‏Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup ‏Pomegranate seeds
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F and boil your pearl onions in water for 1 minute and drain.
  2. Sauté your ginger and pepper in oil for 1 minute then add in the chicken and onions and cook while stirring occasionally for about 7 minutes.
  3. Add in your pomegranate juice, apricots, prunes, cilantro and salt then simmer and cover with foil.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes in your oven. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes until chicken is tender then garnish with sesame seeds and pomegranate seeds and serve.
